Job Description

Reporting into the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, ensuring capability growth and high levels of performance.
  • Drive a strong culture of health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership and act as the manufacturing authority for production processes and methods.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Oversee manufacturing technology deployment, digital manufacturing programs, and automation initiatives.
  • Support new product introduction activities and ensure production readiness for new programs.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, and program teams to achieve business goals.
  • Manage engineering resources, workload planning, budgets, and project priorities.
  • Drive root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of engineering commitments.
  • Lead initiatives involving advanced machining, automation, capital equipment investment, and process optimization.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a proven manufacturing engineering leader with experience managing teams within a complex manufacturing environment. Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Significant manufacturing engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading engineering projects and delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience implementing new technologies, automation, or digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders across different functions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or technically demanding industries is advantageous.
  • Background in advanced machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, or similar manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance requirements where necessary.
