Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Location: Denver, CO 80216
Job Type: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $39.78/hr
Shift: Primarily 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM 6:30 AM
Potential Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Schedule: Flexible schedule required, including weekend availability

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting high-speed production equipment.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely around industrial machinery. Experience in food manufacturing or other high-speed manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures and perform necessary repairs.
  • Start, stop, operate, and adjust production machinery as required.
  • Identify equipment issues and take appropriate action to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and equipment prints.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to established procedures.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks when required.
  • Apply basic PLC knowledge when troubleshooting automated equipment.
  • Accurately complete maintenance work orders, equipment downtime records, process forms, and related documentation.
  • Follow established maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Assist with equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Work closely with production personnel to maintain reliable and efficient equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical prints.
  • Basic working knowledge of PLCs.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience starting, stopping, and adjusting production machinery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with food manufacturing equipment.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility.
  • Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
  • Knowledge of ammonia systems and boilers.
  • Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment.
