Job Title: Plant Engineer
Location: Winchester, KY
Pay: $87,375 - $104,850 per year

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Engineer to join our team at our Winchester, KY location. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Plant Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of equipment reliability within the plant. This includes supporting the  Performance System (PS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) processes, driving the Maintenance Excellence process, and improving the overall performance of plant equipment.

You will lead the plant's safety initiatives, compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and develop and manage a strong, reliable maintenance department. In addition, you will drive machine uptime, improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and lower operational costs through targeted improvements and reliability-centered maintenance practices. You will also be key in performing failure analysis and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.

The role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on plant operations by leading maintenance projects, improving equipment performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is a progression role with potential for advancement based2 on your experience and contributions.

Must-Haves / Requirements:

  1. Experience in running a manufacturing maintenance department, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  2. Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  3. Proven experience and a successful record of failure analysis and identifying solutions to improve equipment reliability and prevent future breakdowns.

Nice-to-Haves:

  1. CMMS experience (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  2. Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or Reliability Engineering.
  3. Understanding of OSHA requirements and safety regulations related to plant equipment.
  4. Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis techniques (e.g., FMEA’s, 5Why’s, ATS).
  5. Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, instrumentation, and predictive maintenance knowledge.
  6. Project management experience with a strong focus on cost optimization and efficiency.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Summary:

The Plant Engineer2 is a crucial member of the plant leadership team responsible for ensuring the plant's equipment operates at peak performance. This role will require you to apply reliability tools to determine root causes of equipment failures and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant operations. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring the maintenance department is well-trained, proficient, and efficient in maintaining plant equipment and processes. You will also play a key role in supporting safety and compliance efforts, furthering the company's commitment to creating a zero-incident safety culture.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range: $87,375 - $104,850
  • Quarterly bonus: 12.5% of base salary
