Position Overview
The Manufacturing Lead plays a key role in supporting daily production operations by directing team members, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring quality and productivity goals are met. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys coaching and developing others.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shift start-up meetings, communicating priorities, production targets, and updates
Coordinate and assign daily production activities to team members
Monitor workflow and ensure efficient movement of work-in-progress (WIP)
Attend daily production/shipping recap meetings when Supervisor is not present
Prepare and maintain daily productivity reports
Identify, evaluate, and resolve production issues proactively
Ensure 5S standards and housekeeping tasks are completed daily
Monitor department KPIs and analyze performance trends
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
Develop and coach team members through training and mentoring
Promote a positive team environment and open communication
Lead by example in attendance, performance, and attitude

Qualifications
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation (MPI)
Experience training and leading production teams
Intermediate computer skills, including Excel
Ability to work on complex assignments and solve problems independently
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to provide guidance to team members and drive results
