Manufacturing - Lab Technician

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team in Decatur, IL, as a Lab Technician on the 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm. We offer a competitive pay rate of $21.42/hour. This entry-level position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the four analytical aisles within our QC laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare process and/or finished product samples for analysis.
• Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures.
• Record results accurately using computerized data systems.
• Complete training on one analytical aisle to advance to the Laboratory Technician I position.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies to prevent on-the-job injuries.
• Conduct at least one Laboratory Safety audit per month and complete a minimum of three safety engagements monthly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in math skills necessary for lab testing calculations.
• Utilize computer skills effectively for various tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by quality department management.

Qualifications

• High school level math skills required; computer skills preferred.
• Good attendance and punctuality are highly valued.
• Completion of a college science lab is preferred, but not required. Relevant work experience is considered.
• Understanding of laboratory environments and familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements is beneficial.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and IC is a plus.
