Shift: 8am - 4:30pm. With 30 min lunch, and two 15 minute breaks.
Rate: $17/hr.w2

Job Description

As a Custodian / Facilities Cleaner, you will play an essential role in keeping our manufacturing plant and administrative offices clean, sanitized, organized, and safe. This day-shift position provides dedicated on-site support to actively service high-traffic areas, common employee spaces, and production facilities throughout the working day.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms across the manufacturing floor and front office spaces multiple times daily.
• Maintain clean breakrooms, cafeterias, and common areas, including wiping tables, counters, sinks, and clearing trash between employee shift breaks.
• Empty all office, conference room, and shop floor trash receptacles and recycling bins, transporting waste to outside dumpsters.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors across designated production walkways, entryways, hallways, and office areas.
• Monitor facility cleaning supplies and chemical inventory, proactively submitting reorder requests before items run out.
• Respond promptly to spills, housekeeping requests, and routine sanitation needs across the plant.
• Adhere strictly to all plant safety rules, chemical handling protocols (SDS), and PPE requirements (all required personal protective equipment and safety training will be provided on-site).
• Comply with site policies regarding headphone use (listening to music with headphones is permitted while working in designated office areas only, and strictly prohibited on the shop floor).

Must Have

• Experience: Prior custodial, janitorial, or commercial facility cleaning experience (industrial/manufacturing setting preferred).

• Core Duties: Ability to clean and sanitize restrooms, maintain breakrooms, manage waste removal, and perform floor care (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing).

• Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals, safe handling practices, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and plant safety protocols.

• Physical & Soft Skills: Strong reliability, punctuality, and the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift 40–50 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
