Staff Management | SMX in Jackson, TN, is hiring for Manufacturing Forklift Operators to support our client's daily operations at a food manufacturing facility. We offer a rotating two-week production schedule, alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week. Associates receive weekly paychecks and Medical/Dental benefits. Pay Rate: $18.25 / hour
Duties:
- Complete the tasks assigned on your daily task sheet
- Use a forklift to pick up A-Feed totes and take them to the compactor to be dumped
- Clean product totes, equipment, floors, and the production area during downtime
- Process scrap and cardboard and load them into trailers
- Make sure the correct weight is loaded into each trailer
- Clear trash and load it into the compactor
- Keep the outside dock area clean and free of pests
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and allergen-control rules at all times
- Wear the required protective equipment, including slip-resistant footwear, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
- Follow forklift, lockout/tagout, chemical, and workplace safety rules
- Keep the line free of congestion and scrap buggies loaded and dumped on time
- Report spills, pests, damaged equipment, and safety hazards to a supervisor right away
