Are you the go-to problem solver when production is on the line?
If you can walk into a busy plant, zero in on the highest-risk maintenance issue, and rally people, tools, and parts to fix it safely and fast—this role is for you.
What challenges will you tackle?
- Direct and execute maintenance for buildings, critical equipment, and site grounds to keep operations running.
- Prioritize and schedule work, then accelerate tasks and projects to reduce downtime.
- Coach teammates—sharing mechanical expertise, safe methods, and maintenance best practices.
- Ensure every job is kitted with the right tools, supplies, and materials before it starts.
- Model safety: follow procedures rigorously and complete incident reports without delay.
- Own shop organization and housekeeping so anyone can find what they need, when they need it.
- Identify urgent repairs and spotlight them to leadership with clear rationale and timing.
- Set tomorrow up for success by staging work areas and parts at the end of each day.
- Keep the site accessible year-round—including winter snow plowing when required.
- Handle opening and closing responsibilities for the building or yard.
- Adapt your hours—arrive early, stay late, and adjust to special schedules as needed.
Who you’ll partner with
You’ll report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. While you won’t manage a team on paper, you’ll often coordinate efforts across technicians, operators, and vendors to get the job done.
