Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a well-established manufacturer serving critical defense and industrial applications. The organization specializes in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of highly engineered, mission-critical products used in demanding environments. With a strong investment in advanced manufacturing technologies, including state-of-the-art CNC machining and assembly operations, the company is focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term growth.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and technical resources.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support operational and business objectives.

Manage manufacturing engineering priorities, workload planning, and resource allocation.

Support machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing operations with a focus on process optimization and throughput improvements.

Partner with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, production readiness, and ongoing program execution.

Lead manufacturing process improvements, facility enhancements, technology implementation projects, and capital equipment initiatives.

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Establish and track key manufacturing engineering deliverables, project milestones, risks, and corrective actions.

Support budgeting activities and cost management initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Advance digital manufacturing capabilities and drive adoption of new technologies that improve operational performance.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.

8+ years of manufacturing engineering and/or manufacturing leadership experience.

Experience in machining, assembly, fabrication, or other industrial manufacturing environments.

Demonstrated success leading manufacturing improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Experience working closely with Operations and Program Management teams.

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Preferred:

Prior leadership experience managing Manufacturing Engineers and technical teams.

Experience with CNC machining, particularly complex 5-axis machining environments.

Experience with welding, metal fabrication, and large-scale assemblies.

Background implementing digital manufacturing solutions or advanced manufacturing technologies.

Experience managing complex manufacturing changes, facility upgrades, capital equipment projects, or process transformations.

Defense, aerospace, industrial equipment, heavy manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.

Salary: $120,000 - $175,000
