In this role, you won't just maintain processes-you'll elevate them, making a measurable impact on product quality, efficiency, and performance across our high-volume manufacturing environment.What You'll DoAs a key leader in our Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll guide strategy, mentor engineers, and drive improvements that matter. Your day-to-day will include:Lead and manage Product Support Engineering teams across Clippers, Trimmers, Rotary, and Decoration product linesDevelop team capability, performance, and overall engineering effectivenessDrive manufacturability, process stability, and product performance in high-volume productionDrive proper use of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to improve design clarity, manufacturability, and inspection consistencyDrive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in product and process improvements to reduce cost, complexity, and variationLead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing) to reduce costs, scraps, and downtime while improving quality and productivityCollaborate with New Product Development teams to support design reviews and ensure smooth product launchesPartner with Quality and Operations on product and process changesSupport development of FMEAs, Control Plans, and process capability improvementsPerform root cause analysis using statistical methods and implement corrective actionsSupport capital and tooling investments (equipment, molds, fixtures, etc.) to meet quality and capacity requirementsEnsure safety of manufacturing processes and product complianceEstablish team and individual goals aligned with company objectives and drive executionProvide regular updates to leadership on project status and key metricsPerform other duties as assigned What You BringBachelor's degree in Engineering7+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership roleExperience with 3D modeling (NX CAD preferred)Strong knowledge of plastic, stamped, and machined part design and manufacturing processesDemonstrated leadership, team development, and delegation skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesEffective communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration skills across cross-functional teamsAlignment with company values (The Wahl Way)Core Competencies Ensures AccountabilityPlans & AlignsManages ComplexityDevelops TalentCourageWhy You'll Love Wahl Clipper We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being and growth, including:Low-cost BCBSIL medical, dental, and vision plansA generous company-matched 401(k) and profit sharingTuition support to fuel your learningPaid holidays and a vibrant, casual work environmentBut that's just the beginning.
