Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers to achieve business and operational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
- Ensure manufacturing methods consistently meet design intent, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to operations teams to support production performance.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and process governance.
- Support health, safety, environmental, and product safety initiatives while promoting a zero-incident culture.
- Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements that enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Manage engineering resources, project priorities, budgets, and capacity planning activities.
- Lead the introduction of new manufacturing technologies and digital manufacturing solutions.
- Support new product introduction programs and ensure effective transition into production.
- Partner with supply chain, operations, and program teams to align manufacturing strategies with business goals.
- Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure key engineering deliverables are achieved on schedule.
- Champion advanced manufacturing initiatives including automation and lights-out manufacturing capabilities.
- Evaluate and implement innovative solutions that improve operational performance and competitiveness.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience within manufacturing engineering, including leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated success leading complex engineering projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop teams, mentor engineers, and build a high-performance culture.
- Experience managing manufacturing transformation initiatives such as facility upgrades, automation projects, capital equipment investments, or new product introductions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
- Experience implementing digital manufacturing, automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives is highly desirable.
- Ability to balance technical decision-making with commercial and operational objectives.
- Experience in highly regulated, precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex environments is advantageous.
- Exposure to advanced machining, welding, large assemblies, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance requirements where required.
