Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers supporting production and process improvement activities.
  • Establish and maintain safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, and operational performance.
  • Provide technical leadership for manufacturing methods, tooling, workflows, and production readiness.
  • Support the introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Partner with operations, quality, supply chain, and programme stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Prioritise engineering resources, oversee workload planning, and manage departmental budgets.
  • Implement automation, digital manufacturing, and process optimisation initiatives.
  • Monitor key project deliverables, identify risks, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Champion a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous development.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and substantial experience within a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Experience managing large-scale manufacturing projects, equipment implementation, or facility enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering principles, and production systems.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exposure to automation, digital manufacturing, or smart factory initiatives preferred.
  • Experience within highly regulated or technically complex manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Must be eligible to work within environments requiring additional compliance or customer-specific requirements.
