Join us at the forefront of electrified industrial energy. We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to scale production of next-generation commercial and industrial thermal systems, including unfired boilers and steam-generating heat pumps.

In this role, you'll drive manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery performance for complex equipment-leading initiatives across DFMA, production ramp, industrial engineering, and supplier integration. You'll be a key leader shaping how cutting-edge thermal systems move from design to high-volume production.

What You'll Do

Lead & Scale Manufacturing

  • Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing engineering team
  • Define and execute manufacturing strategies aligned to growth and electrification
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Product, Supply Chain, and Operations

Drive Product Industrialization (DFMA)

  • Lead DFMA for boilers, steam systems, and heat pumps
  • Optimize designs for fabrication, assembly, and serviceability
  • Oversee pilot builds, validation, and manufacturing readiness

Enable Production Ramp

  • Design efficient layouts and production lines for large-scale equipment
  • Implement lean principles (flow, line balancing, cycle time reduction)
  • Develop capacity models, labor standards, and capital plans
  • Stand up and optimize test systems (pressure, thermal, performance)

Own Supplier Technical Strategy

  • Act as the engineering lead for critical suppliers (heat exchangers, coils, pressure vessels, compressors)
  • Drive supplier quality and manufacturability (PPAP/APQP, audits, DFMA alignment)
  • Resolve technical challenges for build-to-print components

Build World-Class Processes

  • Standardize processes (welding, brazing, leak testing, refrigerant handling)
  • Lead Lean / Six Sigma improvements across yield, throughput, and cost
  • Establish robust documentation, work instructions, and training systems

Ensure Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain compliance with ASME, UL/ETL/CSA, and HVAC standards
  • Partner with Quality on root cause and corrective actions
  • Champion safe practices for high-pressure, high-temperature, and refrigerant systems

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field
  • 10+ years in manufacturing engineering (thermal systems, HVAC, boilers, or industrial equipment)
  • 3-5+ years leading engineering teams

Technical Strengths

  • Deep DFMA experience for thermal/fluid systems
  • Expertise in fabrication processes (welding, brazing, machining, forming)
  • Experience scaling from pilot to full production
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer, pressure systems, and electro-mechanical assembly

Nice to Have

  • ASME pressure vessel manufacturing experience
  • Background in boilers, steam systems, or industrial heat pumps
  • Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt)
  • ERP/MRP and manufacturing analytics familiarity

Who You Are

  • Hands-on leader with strong technical judgment
  • Execution-focused and results-driven
  • Collaborative across functions and suppliers
  • Skilled at scaling operations in fast-growing environments
  • Committed to quality, reliability, and ownership

Why Join Us

  • Shape the future of electrified thermal systems
  • Work on critical infrastructure driving industrial decarbonization
  • Lead manufacturing innovation in a rapidly growing space
  • Strong growth opportunity
