Standard Job Description

You will be the TACTICAL Manufacturing Engineering Asc Manager for Lufkin Production Operations. As part of the role, you will manage the priorities for the Manufacturing TACTICAL Team, and coordinate execution of critical efforts with Production Operators/Supervisors, Quality, and Industrial Engineers. The individual will also have regular interactions with a broader team of Program Management and Design Engineering as required. On top of the normal TACTICAL responsibilities, current role includes managing the technical area leads supporting Circuit Card Assembly, Wire Harness and Box/Final Integration. Our Technical Leads are responsible for mentoring/training, assisting with projects execution and R&D of new technology and processes.

What You Will Be Doing

As Manufacturing Engineering Asc Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, drive producibility into the designs, and maintain a master schedules to keep critical milestones of each program ontrack. Your responsibilities will include:

• Interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating manufacturing engineering talent.
• Position will involve leading, coordinating, and reporting the efforts of a group of manufacturing engineersand technicians.
• Interface with the customer, engineering and Lufkin Senior Management.
• Support and coordinate transition to production of new product lines.
• Manage and support PLVs (Product Line Validations)
• Facilitate communication, technical reviews and execution of new proposals.
• Coordinate validations and execution of process improvements.
• Drive effective corrective actions to optimize yields.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems.
• Leadership qualities with significant manufacturing and assembly experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills with ability to work with multiple levels ofmanagement, industry peers, internal and external customers.
• B.S. or M.S. in a technical field.
• Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment

Desired Skills

• Ability to collaborate and influence in order to successfully advocate solutions to manufacturabilitydeficiencies.
• Experience in engineering change and configuration control as it relates to manufacturing process.
• Technical experience to anticipate and proactively mitigate causes of process failures.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, schematics and specs to lead teamconducting drawing reviews, approvals and producibility reviews.
• Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifications.
• Experience presenting to senior government and/or company management.
• Experience in developing and/or maintaining a Master Schedule using Microsoft Project or equivalent.
• Experience with production and tooling proposals.
• Basic understanding of PFMEAs.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $94400.00 - $175200.00
