Roles & Responsibilities
Support various activities of the NPI process for transition into manufacturing
Design and build fixtures for manufacturing sub-component testing
Develop, implement and maintain operational methods in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and 8D problem solving as needed
Support the internal and external quality process and corrective actions
Reduce production labor and material cost while improving efficiency and utilization
Utilize the Engineering Change Order and Engineering Change Request system for the business unit
Work with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities
Work with manufacturing personnel to investigate and correct manufacturing, documentation and component problems as they arise
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, other engineering disciplines will be considered
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Ability to understand and work with schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
Capable of using Inventor or other 3D modeling software (Solidworks/Creo)
Experience in debugging mechanical and electrical problems
Demonstrated hands-on experience working and supporting manufacturing
Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers and peers
