Description
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing equipment and tooling solutions to support production needs.
- Modify, upgrade, and optimize existing equipment to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Identify equipment requirements, evaluate suppliers, support capital requests, and coordinate purchasing activities.
- Develop standardized work instructions and train employees on manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues while partnering with maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Coordinate tooling and fixture management, including repairs, inventory requirements, and prioritization of resources.
- Create, maintain, and improve production standards and manufacturing documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Promote a safe working environment by identifying and eliminating operational risks and barriers.
- Analyze production performance, monitor process effectiveness, and implement process enhancements where needed.
- Support training efforts, technical problem-solving, and production activities on the shop floor.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to broader operational initiatives.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Approximately 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong CAD proficiency, including experience with AutoCAD and related design software.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with a passion for solving technical problems in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment, assess design feasibility, and implement practical solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and utilize precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of GD&T, SPC methodologies, and manufacturing quality principles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or within a team environment.
