SNI Companies is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Planner to support a leading aerospace and defense program in Palmdale, CA.
The selected candidate will join a Manufacturing Engineering Planning team responsible for developing and maintaining Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM), Order Bills of Material (OBOM), manufacturing plans, and comprehensive electronic work instructions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Planner with a background in aerospace/aviation manufacturing, BOM planning, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and production planning systems.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) and Order Bill of Material (OBOM).
Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, processes, policies, and procedures.
Determine practical manufacturing operations and production sequences.
Develop comprehensive manufacturing plans and electronic work instructions.
Create, revise, and compliance-check electronic work instructions and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with Designers, Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
Interpret engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements.
Support tooling and manufacturing process development.
Ensure manufacturing documentation accurately reflects engineering and production requirements.
Support management meetings, program reviews, and production reviews.
Document, track, and drive action items through completion.
Apply standard manufacturing planning processes and procedures.
Utilize manufacturing and engineering systems to support planning and production activities.
12+ years of relevant experience for Level 4 candidates.
Candidates with 6–9 years of experience may be considered for Level 3.
Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
Experience with manufacturing planning processes and procedures.
Experience creating, maintaining, or working with BOM/MBOM/OBOM.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and process documentation.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Strong communication, organization, scheduling, and time-management skills.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
