The Company

They focus on short, iterative design cycles, with rapid developmental testing and modern commercial manufacturing strategies for production at scale.
The Job
Our client is seeking a high capable Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and build of critical components and sub systems for their long range hypersonic strike vehicles. As a Manufacturing Engineering you will be responsible for working closely with engineering teams to execute complex builds of critical components, advancing designs, oversee maintenance, oversee upgrades, defining manufacturing, maturing subassembly process flow, define assembly and integration processes.
Functions
Lead day to day production of mechanisms such as the separation system and launchers
Develop process and factory design to transition from development to production rates of 1000s of units per year
Develop and refine process documentation including build instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs
Create, maintain and communicate detailed plans and schedules
Work closely with supply chain to develop new and existing suppliers
Design and validate tooling
Participate in design reviews to drive design for manufacturing (DFM)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or testing experience or heavy involvement in extra-curricular design teams at the university level
Preferred Skills
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience for high performance aerospace products
Experience in aerospace mechanisms
Experience with structural welding
Experience with ordinance
Experience with NX/Teamcenter CAD/PDM
Hands on experience in metal fabrication
Experience in transitioning development process to production
Additional Requirements
Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
