Job Description

Provide technical support across manufacturing processes, materials testing, process development, and product performance investigations.

Lead root cause analysis efforts related to production challenges, quality concerns, and customer issues.

Review and determine appropriate disposition of nonconforming materials and support corrective actions.

Develop and execute process validation activities, including equipment qualification and process verification protocols.

Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to improve process capability, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage engineering projects involving equipment installation, process optimization, and cost reduction opportunities.

Assess technical risks associated with manufacturing processes, materials, and product applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.

Mentor and support less experienced engineering and technical team members.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, statistical analysis, and structured problem solving.

Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis software.

Exposure to validation activities, equipment qualifications, and process documentation.

Basic CAD modeling and drafting experience preferred.

Experience with metal processing, forming, cleaning, heat treatment, or related manufacturing operations is highly advantageous.

Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience is desirable.
