    Description

    A leading aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer (Milling) to join a high-impact prismatic manufacturing team. This role combines hands-on CNC machining with engineering responsibilities, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, optimize, and support CNC milling processes for new and legacy components.

    • Create CNC programs, operation sheets, and detailed manufacturing instructions.

    • Define operation sequences, tooling, workholding, gauging, and machine requirements.

    • Troubleshoot shop floor issues related to tooling, machining, inspection, and setup.

    • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.

    • Support program prove-outs and assist directly in the production environment.

    • Estimate setup times, run times, and tooling hours for cost and capacity planning.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve producibility and efficiency.

    • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
      Associate degree with 6+ years of experience, OR
      High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.

    • Strong experience in CNC milling machining.

    • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.

    • Experience with multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.

    • Aerospace manufacturing experience.

    • CNC programming experience using Siemens NX.

    • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium.

    • Knowledge of inspection methods for machined parts.

    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (Lean Six Sigma is a plus).

    • Experience with automation integration is a plus.
