    Taylor, MI (9755 Inkster Rd.) | In-Office | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    Oakwood Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about solving problems, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence. In this role, you'll partner with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to enhance manufacturing performance, support new programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant.

    What You'll Do

    • Improve manufacturing processes using Lean and continuous improvement principles.
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
    • Support new program launches and production readiness.
    • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support.
    • Develop and improve manufacturing documentation, standards, and procedures.
    • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. 

    What You'll Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or substantial manufacturing experience.
    • Knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Experience leading projects, conducting time studies, and implementing process improvements.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively across teams.
