Contract - 1st Shift, 5/40

Pay Rate: 42.34/Hr.

Position Summary: Manufacturing Engineer II

• Support the delivery of Gulfstream G400 aircraft technology.
• Optimize manufacturing operations, assembly processes, and production objectives.
• Design and arrange machines, tooling, and manufacturing sequences to ensure configuration compliance and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities: Manufacturing Engineer II

• Ensure manufacturing processes and product builds comply with EH&S and quality requirements.
• Develop manufacturing processes using statistical process control methodologies.
• Define manufacturing operation sequences, installation methods, and fabrication procedures for tools and equipment.
• Own manufacturing layouts, including tooling and machine arrangements.
• Improve manufacturing processes and products in collaboration with design engineering.
• Implement process upgrades utilizing robotics, automation, and corrective actions.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify opportunities for engineering design improvements and line balancing.
• Participate in tool design reviews to improve manufacturability, reduce build times, and lower program costs.
• Utilize data analytics and SPC to improve productivity, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Drive problem-solving initiatives and corrective action investigations.
• Participate in PFMEA and Control Plan activities.
• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including routings, BOMs, visual aids, and standard work instructions.
• Support digital manufacturing initiatives with subject matter experts.

Required Qualifications: Manufacturing Engineer II

• US Citizenship
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience interpreting specifications and engineering drawings/models.
• Experience adapting machine and equipment designs to meet factory and production requirements.
• Experience participating in continuous improvement events.

Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing Engineer II

• Experience with robotics and automation.
• Experience with Six Sigma/Red X methodologies.
• Understanding of project management methods.
