Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred but not required with demonstrated technical capability
10+ years of experience developing machining and processing plans for complex metallic parts
Extensive aerospace manufacturing experience with hands-on machining of hardened metals including tough steels and titanium
Deep understanding of post-machining processes such as heat treating, plating, and surface treatments affecting material properties
Mastery of machining methods including CNC machining techniques, tooling strategies, and machine selection
Experience with manufacturing process troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Knowledge of metallurgy, process optimization, and Quality Control standards
Strong ability to read, interpret, and critique detailed technical drawings and specifications
Responsibilities
Develop and own machining and processing plans for complex high-difficulty metallic components
Serve as the primary process engineering authority for assigned parts and manufacturing programs
Support new product introductions from a manufacturing process perspective and troubleshoot production challenges
Apply deep metallurgy and process expertise to improve product quality, yield, and manufacturability
Collaborate closely with CNC programmers, machinists, quality, and production teams to ensure process efficiency and integrity
