    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred but not required with demonstrated technical capability
    • 10+ years of experience developing machining and processing plans for complex metallic parts
    • Extensive aerospace manufacturing experience with hands-on machining of hardened metals including tough steels and titanium
    • Deep understanding of post-machining processes such as heat treating, plating, and surface treatments affecting material properties
    • Mastery of machining methods including CNC machining techniques, tooling strategies, and machine selection
    • Experience with manufacturing process troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
    • Knowledge of metallurgy, process optimization, and Quality Control standards
    • Strong ability to read, interpret, and critique detailed technical drawings and specifications

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and own machining and processing plans for complex high-difficulty metallic components
    • Serve as the primary process engineering authority for assigned parts and manufacturing programs
    • Support new product introductions from a manufacturing process perspective and troubleshoot production challenges
    • Apply deep metallurgy and process expertise to improve product quality, yield, and manufacturability
    • Collaborate closely with CNC programmers, machinists, quality, and production teams to ensure process efficiency and integrity
