This Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability, manufacturing processes, production efficiency, and product quality within a hands-on production environment. The role spends significant time on the manufacturing floor partnering with operators, maintenance, and leadership to solve problems and implement lasting solutions.

Description

This Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
• Identifying root causes of equipment, process, and quality issues and implementing corrective actions
• Improving coating, laminating, sheeting, and web-handling manufacturing processes
• Analyzing production data and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting equipment upgrades, installations, automation projects, and capacity improvements
• Partnering with production and quality teams to improve product performance and consistency

Profile

A Successful Manufacturing Engineer will have:

• 3+ years of manufacturing, process, equipment, or mechanical engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment
• Experience with bearings, drives, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors
• Electrical and controls troubleshooting experience with PLCs and VFDs preferred
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in paper converting, packaging, web handling, laminating, coating, or similar continuous-process manufacturing preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and hands-on leadership skills
