Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Loation: Cincinnati, OH

Our medical device client in Cincinnati is seeking Manufacturing Engineer to provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support across two different teams. The engineers will support manufacturing process development and improvement, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, PFMEA updates, and manufacturing documentation.

These roles are well-suited for engineers who are comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor, evaluating equipment and processes, executing improvements, and managing the documentation required to support those activities. Because the client is continuing to mature its manufacturing infrastructure, these engineers will have an opportunity to help establish and improve manufacturing systems and processes.

*Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5-10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
Experience in medical device, biotech, and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Medical device highly preferred .
*Experience with manufacturing process development, process improvement, equipment integration, or manufacturing engineering* .
Working knowledge of *PFMEA, preventive maintenance, equipment logs, spare parts, and equipment readiness* .
Experience creating, updating, and executing manufacturing and equipment documentation.
*Ability to evaluate manufacturing equipment and processes holistically and translate findings into practical improvements* .
Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment and supporting equipment builds, runoffs, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities.
Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience
*Experience establishing or improving a Preventive Maintenance program in a developing or growing manufacturing environment.*
*Experience updating PFMEAs based on newly available manufacturing or equipment performance data.*
*Experience with equipment qualification, calibration, or production readiness activities* .
*Experience supporting prototype builds, equipment runoffs, or manufacturing scale-up* .
Experience working in a newer or rapidly developing manufacturing organization where processes and systems are still being established.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who can work comfortably between the manufacturing floor, engineering team, equipment, and documentation. The client is looking for someone who can identify gaps, make practical recommendations, and then take ownership of implementing the improvements rather than simply documenting or recommending them.

Responsibilities
Support manufacturing process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Evaluate manufacturing equipment and processes to identify opportunities for improved reliability, efficiency, quality, and readiness.
Help establish and implement a more robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, including reviewing equipment, identifying required PM activities and spare parts, and implementing and documenting improvements.
Review and update PFMEAs using the latest equipment performance, manufacturing, and process data.
Develop, execute, and maintain manufacturing documentation, equipment records, logs, and other required paperwork.
Ensure documentation accurately reflects current equipment and manufacturing processes while enabling engineering teams to focus on higher-level technical activities.
Support equipment setup and readiness prior to manufacturing activities, including calibration verification, equipment checks, and running master parts through equipment.
May be asked to participate in equipment runoffs, prototype builds, and other hands-on manufacturing activities as needed.
Investigate equipment or process issues, identify root causes, and recommend and implement corrective improvements.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to implement process and equipment improvements.
Provide hands-on support for additional manufacturing engineering projects as business needs evolve.
