Title : Manufacturing Engineer

Pay Rate : $35-45/hr on W2
About the Role
Our medical device client in Cincinnati is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support across two different teams. The engineers will support manufacturing process development and improvement, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, PFMEA updates, and manufacturing documentation.
These roles are well-suited for engineers who are comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor, evaluating equipment and processes, executing improvements, and managing the documentation required to support those activities. Because the client is continuing to mature its manufacturing infrastructure, these engineers will have an opportunity to help establish and improve manufacturing systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-6 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Experience in medical device, biotechnology, and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Medical device experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing process development, process improvement, equipment integration, or manufacturing engineering.
- Working knowledge of PFMEA, preventive maintenance, equipment logs, spare parts, and equipment readiness.
- Experience creating, updating, and executing manufacturing and equipment documentation.
- Ability to evaluate manufacturing equipment and processes holistically and translate findings into practical improvements.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment and supporting equipment builds, runoffs, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience establishing or improving a Preventive Maintenance program in a developing or growing manufacturing environment.
- Experience updating PFMEAs based on newly available manufacturing or equipment performance data.
- Experience with equipment qualification, calibration, or production readiness activities.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, equipment runoffs, or manufacturing scale-up.
- Experience working in a newer or rapidly developing manufacturing organization where processes and systems are still being established.
