Manufacturing Engineer

Interface with shop floor personnel to help resolve build issues, including troubleshooting PLM/MES/ERP data flows, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Responsibilities: Leverage model-based engineering tools (PLM/MES) to facilitate creation of Production Planning/Work Instructions for build.

Our client, a Aerospace And Defense company, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for their Marietta, GA location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Leverage model-based engineering tools (PLM/MES) to facilitate creation of Production Planning/Work Instructions for build
• Interface with shop floor personnel to help resolve build issues, including troubleshooting PLM/MES/ERP data flows, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
• Provide guidance to team of hourly/represented planners and oversee creation and release of build documentation
• Provide guidance and oversee all planning modifications related to engineering revisions and MRB activities.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering planning system upgrades, modifications and new system integration
• Work in parallel with design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain organizations, and production operations

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• 5+ Years Manufacturing Engineering and/or Production Engineering experience
• 5+ Years Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software experience
• 5+ Years Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience
• 5+ Years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a modelbased engineering Software, Catia, 3DX, Team Center NX
• Manufacturing Engineering/Production planning experience i.e. Solumina, Apriso
• SAP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software experience
• Production/build execution support experience (especially second/swing shift)
• Experience working directly with shop floor mechanics and/or represented workforce
• Ability to communicate effectively across crossfunctional teams (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Production Control, Supply Chain)
• Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
