Overview

IMG, an Ichor company, is hiring hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at our  Livermore location to support aerospace and machining manufacturing. This role requires aerospace or machining manufacturing experience and is responsible for CAD drawings, router creation, project management, and helping drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple groups including, engineering, production and quality. This role is subject to ITAR.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and evaluate processes.
  • Create CAD files to support the shop floor.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
  • Study production and machine requirements.
  • Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for learning and a drive to succeed.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities.

  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, blueprints and quality manuals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Software applications and ERP systems, such as GSS or Oracle Cloud.
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD 3D, Solidworks, and Inspection Manager.

 

Education/Experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years of industry or related experience
  • Aerospace or Machining manufacturing required.
  • 3D CAD, Inspection Manager, required

 

Physical Requirements.

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, lift/push/pull/lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • This is an onsite position with time sitting a desk, using a computer, and related office equipment.

 

Work Environment

  • Work environment has areas which are noisy, doisy and have machines operating.

The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. A US person is a lawful permanent resident (immigrant with “green card” permanent authorization to work document) or who is a protected person (a citizen, a national, a refugee, or a person granted asylum). Non-citizens with other visas are not eligible for hire at this location.

For Candidates in CA: The pay range for this full-time position is $81,600 – $138,700 exempt per year or $3138.46 biweekly to $534.61 biweekly.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
