Summary:
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies.
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Applies Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and AS9145 standards to manufacturing process development.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies.
Experience with AS9145 standard for aerospace quality management.
Experience designing manufacturing processes and production layouts for assemblies and equipment installation.
Experience designing sequence of operations and procedures for tool fabrication.
Experience incorporating inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Experience inspecting machinery and equipment performance and initiating corrective actions.
Experience developing manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
Experience providing guidance to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements.
Experience ensuring compliance with regulations for processes and procedures.
