Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer that designs and produces highly engineered components and systems for mission-critical applications. Serving both government and commercial markets, the organization is recognized for its commitment to precision manufacturing, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation. Support the transition of new products from engineering design into production. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. Evaluate manufacturing methods and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and product performance. Analyze production issues, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions. Develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to support production requirements. Support capital equipment selection, installation, validation, and commissioning activities. Monitor production metrics and recommend improvements based on data analysis. Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews. Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications. Support production readiness reviews and manufacturing process qualification activities.

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes, workflows, and production systems. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T. Familiarity with machining, assembly, fabrication, or other aerospace manufacturing processes. Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software tools.
