Description

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Cell Therapy Process Engineerfor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA, 90404. Details of the position are as follows: 
 
Job Description: 

  • Pay: $50.00- $56.69/hr to start.
  • 1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
  • Shift: Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
  • Position will mainly be responsible for conducting cell therapy process development experiments using automated platforms, designing and executing laboratory studies, performing hands-on cell culture activities, analyzing process and equipment performance, and supporting the development of manufacturing equipment, software, and single-use technologies.
  • Responsibilities also include evaluating new technologies and materials for GMP manufacturing, performing statistical analysis and DOE using JMP or Minitab, supporting technology transfer and GMP operations, providing process training to manufacturing personnel, and preparing technical SOPs, batch records, reports, and documentation.
  • Position will also be responsible for creating and presenting data-driven presentations to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external collaborators while supporting continuous process and technology improvements.
Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma/ GED, Associates, Bachelors, or master’s degree is required.
  • Strong background in process development within a GMP environment is required.
  • Experience with Automated Cell Therapy platforms is required.
  • Experience in upstream cell culture processes is required.
  • Cell culture lab techniques and aseptic processing in an ISO 5 environment is required.
  • Experience with flow cytometry is preferred.
  • mRNA handling and process knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with hands-on process development including use of bioreactors and use of statistical design of experiments is required.
