REQUIREMENTS: Manufacturing Engineer II - Portable Metrology
US Citizenship
4 year technical degree or relevant experience
Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Experience using PolyWorks software
Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
o Portable CMM
o Laser Tracker
o High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Manufacturing Engineer II - Portable Metrology
Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms and high volume scanners.
Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality
Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing
Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes
Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues
Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers
Reviewing inspection data and assisting in the development preventative action plans
Retrieving quality data and communicating results and statuses to internal and external customers
SKILLS PREFERRED: Manufacturing Engineer II - Portable Metrology
Engineering experience with relevant applications in a defense environment
Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards
Knowledge of mechanical design
Knowledge of assembly processes
Experience with PTC Creo, SolidWorkds or other modeling software
