Title: Manufacturing Engineer II- Industrial
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 24 Months, Possible Extension & Conversion
Location: Waterloo, IA 50701
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with some potential overtime
Job Description:
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial Engineering background to support manufacturing operations, improve processes, conduct time studies, and drive efficiency and quality improvements.
· Support manufacturing and distribution operations
· Conduct time studies and work measurement for incentive pay programs such as CIPP
· Develop and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, tool design, and processes
· Analyze processes, equipment, and manufacturing systems
· Support engineering testing and feasibility studies
· Provide shop floor support and problem-solving
· Identify process gaps and implement improvements
· Support preventive maintenance and facilities activities
· Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
· Document processes and procedures through technical writing
· Prepare reports and analyze data using Microsoft Office
· Support project schedules and established project plans
· Ensure processes meet cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
· Work with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency
· Maintain knowledge of manufacturing technology, regulations, and industry best practices

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
· 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred
· Recent graduates may be considered with a manufacturing internship
· Experience with manufacturing/distribution processes
· Experience with quality, tooling, and facilities
· Experience with technical writing and documentation
· Experience with shop floor manufacturing and work measurement preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
· Approximately 60% of the workday on your feet
· Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
· Comfortable working in a factory/shop floor environment
