    Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Fluid Power role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader in hydraulic and pneumatic system manufacturing, known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality engineered products. With a focus on continuous improvement and technical excellence, they pride themselves on optimizing performance at every stage of their manufacturing process.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes related to hydraulic and pneumatic (fluid power) systems and components.

    · Provide technical support for production teams, troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime.

    · Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

    · Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.

    · Evaluate and select tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing of fluid power assemblies.

    · Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality or performance issues.

    · Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts, ensuring manufacturability and smooth production launches.

    · Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

    · Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

    · Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and best practices.

     

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

    · Experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics) within a manufacturing environment preferred.

    · Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.

    · Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, and fluid power diagrams.

    · Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation practices is a plus.

    · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    · Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

    · Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
