Our client in Fairdale, KY USA is actively looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary:
  • Own manufacturing processes and engineering systems.
  • Process production packages in Visual ERP system and hand over to production floor.
  • Design / improve the layout of the manufacturing facility including the identification of new capital equipment and tooling requirements,
  • Defining and setting up new manufacturing lines using lean principles such as 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma and VSM (value stream mapping),
  • Design and specify manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve safety, quality, and productivity,
  • Assist in Quoting special product / equipment and parts with particular specifications,
  • Develop & analyse work processes, measure and report on performance,
  • Structuring, managing, and setting up manufacturing processes,
  • Active involvement in DFMEA / PFMEA control plans, evaluating the performance of process control after implementation,
  • Defining and creating process documentation (SOP's, work instructions, etc.),
  • Provide shop floor engineering support, troubleshooting manufacturing issues related to fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and hydraulics.
  • Apply DFM / DFA and lean manufacturing principles to improve manufacturability and throughput.
  • Driving the assembly and proving of initial development and pre-production units to ensure that design and manufacturing lessons learnt are gathered and built into the final product solution.
  • Support R&D prototyping, pilot builds, and first-article manufacturing in collaboration with Product Development Engineering.
  • Actively managing and driving design changes to improve manufacturability,
  • Coordinate Engineering Changes and releases to Production,
  • Assist in defining product cost targets from initial product concept submission
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail and ability to do highly accurate work consistently,
  • Able to adapt to fast pace and changing environment,
  • Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks/activities at the same time,
  • Ability to understand, define and analyze data content and generate reports,
  • Experience with electronic document management systems set-up, processes and reporting,
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge in MS Office Suite,
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels, Knowledge of Quality Control techniques and Metrology,
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and qualification requirements,
  • Logical approach to problem solving
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Use all required PPE and equipment.
  • Report any hazards, risks, or unsafe practices immediately to a supervisor.
  • Never disable protective devices without providing safe alternatives; restore devices after work.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely to prevent harm.
  • Attend and apply knowledge from mandatory Health and Safety training programs (e.g., WHMIS, orientation).
