Standard Job Description

This role will be in support of the PAC 3 ACE development program. This is a fast paced role on a new program team where the product design will be evolving real time and it will be expected that the team is able to have a direct impact. Team members will be expected to integrate themselves as part of the development build team providing real time feedback on assemblies as they prepare for early development and flight tests. Travel will be required as part of this role, visiting several of the Missiles and Fire Controls sites as well as going to suppliers for reviews.

Generally you will be expected to performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluate performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start
• Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence in a professional setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a production or development build environment

Desired Skills

• Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems
• Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow
• Related professional level career experience in production operations
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership
• Experience in capacity & capital planning
• Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods
• First Unit Flow planning & execution
• Statement of work and proposal development experience
• Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy
• Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling
• Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel
• A broad base of professional knowledge regarding manufacturing machining, electrical and/or assembly work
• Professional experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
