Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machining operations.
- Create and optimise manufacturing methods for complex machined components.
- Support process validation, machine prove-outs, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Utilise CAD/CAM and manufacturing software to develop efficient machining strategies.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
- Support manufacturing automation and process standardisation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and process controls.
- Partner with quality teams on inspection planning, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
- Evaluate tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters to improve performance and reduce cycle times.
- Assist in the implementation and optimisation of digital manufacturing tools and systems.
Profile
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting CNC machining operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, process development, and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with advanced CAM programming and multi-axis machining.
- Exposure to manufacturing simulation, process verification, or digital manufacturing tools.
- Background in precision manufacturing, aerospace, industrial equipment, heavy manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Experience supporting process automation, manufacturing systems, or production technology implementations.
- Knowledge of metrology, inspection planning, and statistical process control.
- Familiarity with scripting, automation, or data-driven manufacturing improvements.
