Job Description

  • Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CAM software
  • Create and modify 3D models, tooling concepts, and fixture designs
  • Verify machining programmes through simulation and validation tools
  • Lead quotation activities, including RFQ review, costing, and proposal preparation
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and support competitive pricing strategies
  • Track quotation outcomes and identify trends to improve win rates
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct workflow studies, process analysis, and efficiency improvement projects
  • Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and manufacturing solutions
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer requirements

The Successful Applicant

  • Associate degree, technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and CNC programming
  • Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixture design
  • Experience preparing quotations, cost analysis, or production planning activities
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience within precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable
