Overview
KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a precision manufacturing organization 
This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering position focused on developing and improving cost-effective manufacturing processes based on customer designs, specifications, and production requirements. A significant focus of the role will be CAM programming/toolpaths, tooling and fixture design, process development, and modernization of legacy manufacturing methods.

The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate established manufacturing programs and processes—some of which have been in place for many years—and identify opportunities to introduce more efficient tooling, toolpaths, fixturing, programming methods, and manufacturing practices.

This individual will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with Manufacturing, Programming, Tooling, Quality, Materials, and other operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective manufacturing plans based on customer drawings, specifications, design requirements, and quotation information.
• Develop, improve, and optimize CAM programs and machining toolpaths.
• Design and improve tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing operations.
• Evaluate legacy manufacturing programs and processes and implement modern, more efficient approaches.
• Develop manufacturing processes, routings, fixturing strategies, and work instructions.
• Review and optimize sequence of operations and manufacturing routings.
• Evaluate machining methods, tooling requirements, reference dimensions, stock requirements, and other manufacturing considerations.
• Establish appropriate time standards for manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve cycle times and overall efficiency.
• Review engineering drawings for completeness, accuracy, manufacturability, and required process information.
• Review and approve applicable process drawings, operation sheets, and manufacturing documentation.
• Evaluate customer-generated engineering changes and implement necessary updates to manufacturing processes.
• Initiate and document routing changes, process drawing changes, print clarifications, and other manufacturing updates.
• Ensure manufacturing plans are appropriately reviewed with Quality before release to production.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and development of manufacturing processes for new products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement involving tooling, programming, fixturing, processes, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Serve as a technical liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Tooling, Programming, and Quality.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed to resolve technical or manufacturing issues.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
