    Description

      • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and create work instructions - documentation of processes/activities.
      • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
      • Lead change management activities and drive implementation of the same.
      • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
      • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects, as well as mentoring junior engineers.
      • Work with offshore team for Manufacturing Process Simulation.
      • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes.
      • Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
      • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
      • Identify and implement new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning and implementation.
      • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.


    Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in mechanical engineering and five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Prior experience in manufacturing & assembly environment.
      • Demonstrated process improvement projects and outcomes.
      • Ability to work well under pressure
