The Manufacturing Engineer II will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for highly engineered electronic products used in demanding aerospace and defense applications. This role partners closely with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing methods, develop tooling and fixtures, support new product introductions, and improve operational efficiency.

Description

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to support production objectives.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability.
  • Establish manufacturing and assembly processes for new product introductions.
  • Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production aids.
  • Determine manufacturing methods and process requirements to meet product specifications.
  • Support integration of new products and engineering changes into production.
  • Improve assembly, automation, and production processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve throughput.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of production tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in engineering and production environments.
  • Familiarity with new product introduction and manufacturing transfer activities.
  • Exposure to automation, process optimization, or lean manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing experience is a plus.
