You will work jointly with the headquarters launch team and their suppliers to assure the incoming machining line is successfully delivered for all key business metrics for long-term success of Client.Position Duties:Support machining processes with tool developmentSupport implementation of GTSV tool trackingIdentify tool dominant features and implement proper controlDrive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivityComplete all PPAP quality launch documentationApply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and productsDevelop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize open issues and verify corrective actions on internal processes and supplier processesLead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with Powertrain guidelinesCreate process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processesDeliver capable processes and tools for all gear machining operationsLead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practicesEnsure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standardsSupport ISO 14001 compliance and support internal ISO auditing and compliance as requiredSkills Required:ToolingTool designMachiningProblem SolvingGood Manufacturing PracticesSkills Preferred:Lean ManufacturingManufacturing EngineeringCNC MillsExperience Required:Education: High School DiplomaExperience: 5+ yrs of related experienceSuccessful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE Client (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skillsExperience Preferred:Education: Bachelor's degree in EngineeringExperience: o High production machining tool manufacturing o Gear blade grinding o Programming of Tool Presetters (Royal/Zoller) o Effective oral and written communication skills o Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience o FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experienceEducation Required:High School Diploma / GEDEducation Preferred:Bachelor's Degree Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:Fully onsite.
