    Position Summary

    The Electrical Engineer will provide technical support to maintenance, operations, safety, and quality teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, restoring production flow, improving equipment reliability, and leading electrical and automation-related improvements across the finishing department.

    This is a 100% on-site role and ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly on the plant floor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide electrical engineering support to maintenance and operations, including off-shift support when needed
    • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to determine root cause and implement permanent solutions
    • Develop and improve preventative maintenance systems

    • Lead and manage equipment rebuilds and capital improvement projects
    • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for department equipment and systems
    • Support and promote safety, quality, and environmental initiatives

    • Analyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunities

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
    • Minimum 2+ years of electrical engineering experience

    • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley preferred)
    • Experience with AC/DC motor drives

    • Knowledge of industrial networking and automation communications

    • Experience with power distribution systems

    • Manufacturing experience in metals, aluminum processing, rolling mills, or similar industries
    • Experience with furnaces, casting equipment, shears, strip processing, or coiling systems
    • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and data analytics

    • Experience managing and executing capital projects

    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
