Description

Job Title: Drafter
Location: Boulder, CO (100% Onsite)
Duration: 11 Months Contract
Pay range: $40.00- $53.12 per hours on W2

Job Description:
  • Supports engineering projects by preparing, updating, and organizing the 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models used to design, build, and service company products.
  • Roles in this family produce and revise drawings from engineering markups and sketches, maintain drawing logs and revision records, and keep CAD files properly archived, working under the guidance of designers and engineers.
  • The work calls for precision, a solid grasp of drafting standards, and close coordination with project teams so design documentation is accurate and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models from engineering sketches, markups, and specifications under the guidance of designers and engineers.
  • Apply company drafting standards, dimensioning and tolerancing conventions, and title block requirements consistently across all drawings.
  • Update drawing logs and track revisions so that every drawing reflects its current status, revision level, and approval history
  • Archive CAD files and drawings in the CAD or data management system, ensuring they are properly named, stored, and retrievade.
  • Compile drawing packages for review and approval, checking them for completeness and consistency before submission.
  • perform data entry and file maintenance, including bills of materials, part numbers, and drawing metadata.
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet submission deadlines and distribute released design documentation to manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Check drawings against project requirements and drafting standards, and nag errors or inconsistencies to designers and engineers for resolution.

Must Have:
  • Prior experience as drafter or drafting
  • Previous experience with 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models
  • Mechanical drafting
