Responsibilities

We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Demand Planning Manager to lead our demand planning and forecasting function at our site in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This role, reporting to the Site Leader is a member of the site senior leadership team and responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving optimal inventory and production planning strategies. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with strong leadership skills to support business growth while maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term master schedule/production plan using statistical models and market intelligence
  • Lead the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) by preparing data, analyzing gaps, and presenting recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Production teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives
  • Analyze historical data, trends, and external factors to improve master schedule/production plan accuracy and reduce variability
  • Translate master schedule into actioable production and inventory plans in partnership with manufacturing teams
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as master schedule/production plan accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply-demand imbalances
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, tools, and systems
  • Ensure data integrity and effective use of ERP/other planning systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (required)
  • 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing experience in purchading, planning, scheduling, and SIOP
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) required
  • Strong expertise in ERP/MRP systems and SIOP planning processes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute departmental production schedules
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, routings, and capacity management
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Effective communication with shop-floor teams and senior leadership
  • Results-driven mindset commensurate with a salaried, professional role
  • Prioe experience supporting two or more manufacturing sites preferred
