Responsibilities:
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around demand planning in a manufacturing setting—and can actually make it work in the real world, not just in a spreadsheet.
This role sits on the site leadership team and reports directly to the Site Leader. In plain terms: you’ll be the one making sure demand plans are accurate, production knows what’s coming, and inventory doesn’t get out of hand. It’s a key role if the site’s going to run smoothly (and profitably).
The Role
You’ll take ownership of demand planning and SIOP at site level. That means building forecasts that hold up under pressure, aligning sales and operations, and turning plans into something the shop floor can actually use.
You’ll spend your time balancing data with reality—spotting trends, managing risk, and helping the business stay one step ahead rather than constantly reacting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage short- and long-term demand forecasts and production plans
- Run the SIOP process—prepare the data, highlight gaps, and present clear recommendations
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Manufacturing to keep plans aligned
- Analyze trends, history, and market signals to improve forecast accuracy
- Turn plans into actionable production and inventory strategies
- Track KPIs like forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels
- Identify supply/demand risks early and put mitigation plans in place
- Drive improvements in planning processes, tools, and systems
- Maintain strong data integrity across ERP/MRP systems
- Travel: 20% - 30% to Ohio facility.
Qualifications:
About You / What You’ll Bring
- 5–7 years’ experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, purchasing, or SIOP
- Solid track record building and executing production schedules (not just reviewing them)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing—BOMs, routings, capacity planning, the lot
- Comfortable working in ERP/MRP systems and actually using them to make decisions
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar)
- Able to influence teams without formal authority (always useful)
- Analytical mindset—you like working with data but don’t get lost in it
- Clear communicator, whether you’re talking to the shop floor or senior leadership
- Organized, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes—not just ticking boxes
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting more than one manufacturing site
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives or system implementations
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
