Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Control Specialist I

Location: Schenectady, NY (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $31.37/hr, W 2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract 

Work Mode: 100% Site

Summary:

  • Working Hours: 6:30am - 2:30pm
  • Interview Process: Virtual with cameras on, 1 round, panel
     

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and validate incoming work orders and reporting through SAP.
  • Create and manage pick tickets, cycle count sheets, and standard reports (KPIs).
  • Audit, correct, and maintain proper inventory levels in SAP.
  • Troubleshoot production orders, receiving, inventory discrepancies, and other transactional issues.
  • Assist operations and warehouse teams with order issues, product returns, and nonconforming products.
  • Determine root cause of order/transactions and assist in development of process improvement plans.
  • Manage shop floor material, including daily response to escalations and audits of bulk material.
  • Conduct job audits from start to completion and assist in return to stock process.
  • Work with the warehouse for any issues with picks.
  • Attend turnovers, L1, and L2 meetings.
  • Assist in PI/Cycle Count preparation and locating “lost” material.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong background in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP Powermax).
  • Knowledge of materials distribution and/or logistics processes, methods, and skills related to inventory and materials management.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Strong transactional knowledge with troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills (Excel, Word, Office, etc.).
  • Ability to develop strong product knowledge.
