Description
Our Components Division, located in Gorham, Maine is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist for either first or second shift. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 or more years of machining experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Experience with all machine shop operations to include:
Effectively operate lathes, mills, Bridgeports, drill presses, routers, etc. (Including specialized production equipment after an instructional period).
Prototrak/Centroid type controllers
Set-up and fixturing for manual machines
Ability to optimize feeds and speeds for all machining operations
Maintain adjustment of machine(s) to produce consistent quality product
Interpret specifications and blueprints required for manufacture and perform dimensional verification using appropriate measuring devices
Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
Use of safe lifting techniques and lift-assist equipment as appropriate
Perform preventive maintenance of machines and machine tools to maintain precision machining operations
Machine "one-of-a-kind" pieces from blueprints or sketches
Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts
Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation

This role is for First Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
