Our client is a leading manufacturer of Power and Process equipment and is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in setting up and operating Manual Engine Lathes, Milling Machines, and Grinders.
- Set up and operate a variety of manual machine tools to produce complex, small‑run parts
- Machine components to precise tolerances and high‑quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints, manuals, and detailed work instructions.
- Perform first‑article inspections to verify accurate setups and ensure finished parts meet specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments-including micrometers, dial calipers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales-with proficiency and accuracy.
High school diploma or GED
Experience setting up and operating manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders
Ability to machine parts from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, Monel, Inconel, and titanium to tight tolerances
Experience working with castings, bar stock, single‑piece jobs, and small‑lot production runs
Strong blueprint interpretation
Proficient with precision measuring tools
CNC experience a plus, (Mazatrol or Prototrak)
