Manual Machinist - 2nd shift

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Machinist for our client in the Greensboro area. Candidates who apply need to have familiarity setting up, programming and operating a variety of Manual Machining equipment. This is a 2nd shift, Direct Hire opportunity.

Pays up to $40hr DOE!

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate manual equipment, including Haas, Okuma, and Bridgeport machinery.
• Produce parts from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Work with manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinding equipment.
• Prepare shop drawings as required.
• Use precision manual and some CNC measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and similar tools, to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect components to detailed specifications and tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform work within estimated hours.
• Follow all manual safety procedures and specifications.
• Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
• Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.
• Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience programming manual and CNC machines is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience with precision measuring.
• Familiarity with Haas, Okuma, Bridgeport, or similar equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience with FANUC controls is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
• Proven history of excellent attendance.
